Terms of Sale
1. Quotes
Quotes are valid for 30 days from the date of the quote. After that, prices and availability may change and we will re-quote. A quote is based on the information and measurements you give us.
2. Payment
Every order is custom made, so full payment is required up front, before we prepare drawings or start manufacturing. Work on your order begins once your payment has cleared.
3. Drawings and approval
For custom orders we send you a drawing or proof to check. Please check every measurement, quantity, colour and design on it. We make exactly what you approve, and your approval confirms that the order is correct.
4. Your measurements
Measure twice, order once. You are responsible for the measurements you give us. We are happy to explain how we suggest measuring the space or gap, and our How to measure guides show the way, but we are not on site, so the measurements supplied are the responsibility of the person placing the order.
We make your products to the measurements you supply, within a manufacturing tolerance of plus or minus 2mm (±2mm). We do not refund or remake products made to measurements that you supplied and that turn out to be wrong. A replacement can be ordered and paid for as a new order.
5. Ownership and risk
Products remain the property of Decoview until we have received full payment for them. Responsibility for the products passes to you when they are delivered to the address you give us, or when you or your carrier collect them.
6. Checking your order on delivery
Please check every item as soon as it arrives, before anything is installed, cut or altered. Tell us about any damage, missing items or faults within 48 hours of delivery, with clear photos, by email to sales@decoview.com.au. This lets us claim transit damage from the carrier and put things right quickly.
Damage reported after 48 hours, or after a product has been installed, cut or altered, will be treated as having happened after delivery unless you can show otherwise.
7. Cancellations, changes and returns
All orders are custom made. Once manufacturing has begun, an order cannot be cancelled or changed. If you cancel before manufacturing begins, we refund what you have paid less the costs we have already incurred for your order, such as drawings, programming and materials bought for it.
Because every product is made to order, we do not accept returns or give refunds for change of mind or incorrect selection. This does not affect your rights if a product arrives damaged, is faulty, or is not what you ordered.
8. Colour
We coat to the Dulux® or Interpon® powder coat colour you choose. Slight colour variation is a natural part of powder coating: between batches, with gloss and texture, and in different light. Colours shown on screens, in brochures and on colour charts are a guide only. Variation within the powder manufacturer’s published colour and gloss tolerances is not a defect.
If an exact match matters, ask us for a colour sample, and order items that need to match at the same time, as items coated at different times can differ slightly.
9. Compliance
We are happy to talk you through compliance information, but making sure your installation complies with the rules that apply to it is the owner’s responsibility. That includes pool safety laws, the National Construction Code, council and certifier requirements and any approvals you need. Rules vary between states and councils, and your certifier or council has the final say.
10. Your artwork and designs
If you send us artwork, a logo or a design, you allow Decoview to use, adapt and reproduce it as we see fit to make your custom panel or design. You confirm that you own it or have permission to use it, and you agree to cover Decoview for any claim that it infringes someone else’s rights. We may decline artwork that we believe infringes someone else’s rights.
11. Which law applies
These terms are governed by the laws of Queensland, where Decoview is based and where we manufacture. Nothing in these terms takes away rights you have under the Australian Consumer Law or the consumer laws of your state or territory.
12. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. The version published on this page on the date you place your order is the one that applies to that order. Previous versions are available from the link on this page.
Warranty - 10 Years
Decoview endeavours to ensure all of its products are manufactured to the highest quality standards by ensuring they are manufactured and processed in accordance with Australian Standards. Decoview achieves this by designing, manufacturing, processing and assembling its products in Australia - that is, Decoview products are Australian Made.
This includes, but is not limited to, the punching, pre-treating, powder-coating and assembly of our panels and gates.
Decoview warrants that its products will be free from manufacturing defects for 10 years from the date of dispatch. This warranty is in addition to any governing statutes.
1. Warranty Coverage
Our 10 Year product warranty is given subject to the following limitations:
- All products are inspected during manufacturing and prior to delivery. Any damage incurred during or as a result of pickup, delivery or installation by a third party shall not be covered by this warranty.
- Products must be installed in accordance with Decoview’s installation instructions and the relevant Australian Standards and, for balustrades, within the limits of our engineering certificate (panels up to 2300mm long).
- Fence panels, balustrade panels and gates must be installed, and kept, with their bottom edge at least 20mm above the finished ground, paving, decking or other surface directly below, and clear of soil, mulch, turf, pebbles, garden beds and anything else that holds moisture against them. Corrosion or powder coat failure on any panel or gate that does not meet this is not covered.
- The warranty does not apply when products are installed within 1 kilometre of a marine or corrosive industrial environment or where the product is within 1.5 metres of the edge (splash zone) of a swimming pool.
- Proof of purchase will be required prior to investigation into any warranty claim.
- No warranty claim will be considered if any payments are outstanding.
- Warranty is not transferrable.
- Use of chemicals, cleaners or abrasives such as acetone, thinners, turpentine, white spirit, chlorine, caustic or acids may discolour or affect the powder coating and will void the warranty.
- Hinges and Locks are covered under their respective manufacturers’ warranties, and we will pass your claim on to the manufacturer for you.
- Should Decoview agree that a Decoview manufactured product is faulty under a warranty claim, Decoview, at its absolute discretion, has the right to choose to repair or swap the defective product or products. In so doing, Decoview has the right to replace any faulty product with an alternative product if such product is no longer available or if it is considered that the original product is not suitable.
- Decoview warranty does not cover any costs to uninstall or re-install items that are repaired or replaced. The warranty is limited to replacing or repairing the defective product and doesn’t include the cost to return the defective item, or transport the replacement or repaired item back to site.
- Installations in an environment that could be deemed as unusually corrosive.
- To the extent permitted by law, Decoview is not liable for any loss or damage arising from the use of its products, including indirect or consequential loss, except as required by the Australian Consumer Law.
- All panels are manufactured to Australian Standards and PoolPerf® pool fence panels are tested in an approved NATA laboratory (Test Report AZT0434.19).
General Information - All paint finishes fade and lose gloss as a result of natural weathering. Dark colours will generally show more fading than light colours. Our products are finished with domestic grade quality powder coatings, however Decoview cannot warrant against natural fading or loss of gloss of the paint finish. Please refer to the ‘InterponCareAndMaintenance’ pdf for specific maintenance requirements.
2. Warranty Limitations
Specifically not covered under Decoview’s Warranty:
- Scratching, abrasion, or any other damage or deterioration caused by accident, impact, or misuse.
- Any product installed within 1km of the sea.
- Decoview product that is moved from the place it was initially installed.
- Products that have been cut, drilled, altered or re-coated after leaving our factory, or repaired by anyone other than Decoview.
- Exposure to radiation, corrosive materials or fumes.
- Corrosion caused by contact with other metals, treated timber, wet concrete, cement, lime, fertiliser or pool chemicals.
- Cast Aluminium components (such as brackets and caps), screws or fixings, or items affected by electrolysis.
- Damage caused by an act of God, act of war, storm, flooding, fire, hail or wind beyond the loads the product was designed for.
- Normal weathering, which includes a natural reduction in gloss and colour.
- Where failure of the powder-coating is the result of exposure to a temperature greater than 60°C
- Where the failure is the result of the owner not maintaining the product in accordance with the ‘InterponCareAndMaintenance’ pdf.
Where our products are not of a kind ordinarily acquired for personal, domestic or household use (for example, products bought by a builder or business for a commercial project), our liability for a failure to comply with a consumer guarantee is limited, to the extent the law allows, to replacing or repairing the products, supplying equivalent products, or paying the cost of doing so.
3. Statutory Requirements
Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. You are also entitled to have the goods repaired or replaced if the goods fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure.
Our Warranty doesn’t limit any rights extended under Australian Consumer Law. The benefits of this warranty are in addition to your other rights and remedies under the law.

5. How to Make a Claim
Should you require assistance with regards to a warranty issue, you should contact your Decoview Dealer that supplied and installed your product/s. If they are unable to assist you, please call Decoview on 1300 332 688.
To make a claim, contact us within 30 days of noticing the problem, on 1300 332 688, by email to sales@decoview.com.au or at 2/15 Distribution Ave, Molendinar QLD 4214. Please send proof of purchase, photos of the problem, photos of the whole installation (including the gap under the panels and gates), and the date you noticed it. Please do not repair, alter or remove the product before we have assessed your claim. It is up to you to show, with clear photos and proof of purchase, that the problem is a manufacturing defect covered by this warranty. If you cannot show this, we will decline the claim under this warranty. If we accept the claim, we will repair or replace the product as set out above.
Under this warranty you pay your own costs of making a claim, including removal, reinstallation and freight. If your claim is also covered by the consumer guarantees under the Australian Consumer Law, you may be entitled to recover your reasonable costs. Contact us at the details above to claim them.
Disclaimer: Lead Referral / Installer Workmanship
This disclaimer (“Disclaimer”) outlines the understanding between Decoview (“Company”) and its customers regarding the installation of PoolPerf®, PolyPerf®, PerfSafe®, Perforated Balustrading, Decoview Doors and Decorative Screens (“Product”) by recommended installers.
- The Company may recommend, or pass leads to independent third-party installers (“Installers”) to customers for the installation of the Product. The Installers are not employees, agents, or representatives of Decoview, and Decoview does not have direct control over their workmanship, actions, or performance.
- While Decoview strives to recommend qualified and reputable Installers, Decoview explicitly disclaims any responsibility or liability for the workmanship, quality, performance, or any consequences arising from the installation services provided by the Installers.
- Customers engaging the services of the Installers do so at their own risk. Any disputes, concerns, damages, or losses arising from the installation process, or the workmanship of the Installers should be addressed directly with the Installers. Decoview will not be held liable for any such disputes, concerns, damages, or losses.
- Decoview encourages customers to thoroughly evaluate and assess the qualifications, experience, references, and capabilities of the Installers before engaging their services. Customers are solely responsible for making an informed decision regarding the choice of an Installer.
- This Disclaimer does not affect any warranties, guarantees, or obligations provided by Decoview for the Product itself. Any issues related to the Product’s quality, performance, or defects should be directed to Decoview according to its warranty and guarantee policies.
- By proceeding with the engagement of the recommended Installer, the customer acknowledges and agrees to the terms outlined in this Disclaimer. Decoview shall not be liable for any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, costs, or expenses arising from the workmanship or actions of the Installers.
This Disclaimer is subject to the laws and regulations of the applicable jurisdiction and may be revised or updated by Decoview without prior notice.
